Zimbabwe captain Sikandar Raza has openly admitted that he has not performed well with the bat and feels responsible for letting his team down after Zimbabwe lost the T20I series against India.

India secured the series with one match still to play after defeating Zimbabwe by 90 runs in the second T20I at Harare. Chasing a target of 220 runs, Zimbabwe were bowled out for 129, giving India an unbeatable lead in the three-match series.

Speaking after the match, Raza said the team got a positive start from the opening batters but could not continue the momentum. He believes that lack of experience and poor shot selection at crucial moments cost Zimbabwe the game.

The Zimbabwe skipper also took responsibility for his own poor performances. Raza has struggled in recent T20 matches, scoring only 4 and 0 against India after making just 3 runs in the previous game against Bangladesh. He admitted that, as captain, he should be contributing more with both bat and ball.

Raza said his team needs him to score runs and lead from the front, but he has failed to do so in the last two matches. He added that he is determined to improve and hopes to make a stronger impact in the final game of the series.

Zimbabwe's batting has also been below expectations in recent T20Is. In their last three matches, the team has managed totals of 143, 126, and 129, showing their struggle to build competitive scores.

The third and final T20I will be played in Harare on Sunday. While India will look to complete a 3-0 series sweep, Zimbabwe and Sikandar Raza will be hoping to end the series with a much-needed victory and restore some confidence.
